A special gift bequeathed years ago to Bend of Ivy re-emerged recently. Who gave the gift? Individuals connected together 5 years ago through CTI Leadership retreats on the Bend of Ivy lands, the Air Dragons tribe. I’m sure many lives changed while the Air Dragon’s were at BOI. Seems that happens a lot here.
Thank you Tribe Air Dragons! They gave a gift meant for those that followed on the land.
Their gift? A bench, a resting place of inspiration. The wooden bench, with an inscribed Rumi quote plaque, awaits those looking for a place to sit. Delightful!
“Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing there is a field. I’ll meet you there. When the soul lies down in that grass, the world is too full to talk about.”― Rumi.
Deep thoughts and interpretations of the 13th century persian poet, theologian and mystic Jalal ad-Din Muhammad Rumi abound. I love the different meanings folks feel about these few ancient sentences. Seems many feel the words speak to connectedness, letting go of judgement, letting others be and that we are a collective mass.
Seeking stillness, quiet meditation or contemplation spot? Or just want to watch the birds and listen to the gurgling creek and pond? Then wander to the new SpringHouse Garden. Waiting for souls there in sun filtered garden is a comfortable wooden bench.
Stroll the garden. Look for waving chartreuse, pink and white leaves and flowers. Glimpse Oakleaf hydrangeas, chartreuse sedge, caramel heuchera, billowy bamboo, Titanic hosta and when in bloom, showy orange calla lilies.
Perhaps I’ll see you there.
