Bend of Ivy Lodge Mountain Retreats and Conferences

2008 Public Workshops and Retreats

Most retreats at the Lodge are private groups: weddings, church groups, and organizational retreats. We do host a number of events each year that are open to the public. We offer a list at this site; please bookmark this page and check back with us to see what is coming up. This is a partial listing; as new events are booked, and leaders send their descriptions, we'll post them here. Please contact the retreat organizer directly for cost, more information, and registration. You may also browse previous year's events for 2005, 2006, and 2007.  Some of these people will be returning in 2008 and haven't yet provided listing materials; you may contact them directly to see if they're returning.

September 26 - 28, 2008  Life is a Verb:  Unmasking the power of our personal stories.  Often, there is a gap between the story we meant to live and the one we’ve lived so far. This gap mutes the colors of our lives and inhibits the quality of our engagements with other people—in our families, our organizations, our communities. Maintaining that gap diminishes our creative impulse and often splits our intentions. Why don’t we do more to shorten that distance? This retreat, led by Circle Project co-founders Patti Digh and David Robinson will do just that by exploring six core practices for more intentional living from Patti’s new book, Life is a Verb. Retreat participants will receive the first copies of Life is a Verb, which won’t hit bookstores until October 2008. For more information, go to 37days.
